Parksville Newcomers Club is a non-profit organization which is governed by an Executive consisting of 7 elected members (see below for list).  A copy of OUR CONSITUTION can be viewed by clicking on the link.

Currently, the membership fee is $15.00 per person per year (plus a $5.00 one time fee for a name badge).

Three years is the maximum length of time that a person can be a member of the Parksville Newcomers.  After that you "graduate" to the Parksville Newcomers Alumni.

We meet from 7.00 to 9.00PM on the first Thursday of each month, from September to June.

Our next meeting is Thursday, September 4th, 2008.

Many of our meetings will feature a guest speaker(s) to help acquaint you with the area.  Other meetings will provide more of an opportunity to meet with your fellow Newcomers.  And every meeting will give you a chance to hear about and sign up for the upcoming Special Events planned by the Special Events Co-ordinator and her team, and to join some of the on-going Activities.

Some examples of Special Events are our annual Christmas Party, August picnic, trips to the theatre in Chemainus or Nanaimo or Qualicum Beach, out-of-town day trips, mini-golf, etc.

There are also many excellent organized activities throughout each month, such as Pub nights, Dinner parties, Pot Luck, "games night" (card games and board games) and bowling.  Or you can sign up for the weekly walking group, play golf, bridge, or meet for coffee.  Members are encouraged to take part in as many of the activities that interest them.  These are great opportunities to make new friends and to help you feel welcome and to become familiar with your new hometown!  We would also be pleased to help you get an activity started if it's something that we don't already do.  Each activity is organized by an Activity Co-Ordinator.

SO ... don't sit home alone, come and join in the fun and camaraderie!

Please note, that activities are for paid-up members of the Parksville Newcomers Club and their out-of-town guests only.

Individuals who participate do so at their own risk and are responsible for their own safety.  Members guests are welcome, if waiver is signed with the Co-ordinator to that activity.

Our next meeting is on September 4th, 2008 from 7:00PM to 9:00PM.

Doors open at 7:00PM to give you time to join or to renew your membership and to sign-up for our Special Events and the many on-going Activities.  The meeting commences at 7:30PM.
